"Mi pais inventado"

 In this post I will briefly comment on the last book I read: Mi pais inventado, by Isabel Allende. 

I had only read one book by this author when I was a child, Cuentos de eva luna, but I don't think I appreciated the magnificent narrative, irony and grace that she has in her writing.

This book   : Mi pais inventado, is mainly a description of Chile, based on her memories of her childhood and life. It considers physical, historical, geographical and political characteristics, as well as critiques of the different historical contexts he goes through during the narrative, along with customs and memories and his family.

However, what guides this work is the nostalgia of the author, which gives the starting point to the book, as she is asked in an interview: What does nostalgia mean in your books? (something like that sjjsja )

And well, that answer is expressed throughout the story in humorous, melancholic and descriptive phrases, which portray the essence of Chile during the pre-dictatorship, during and after the dictatorship. 

Although it is not a history book, since it is based on personal experiences, it manages to deeply portray the essence of these difficult historical periods, from an original and profound narrative.

I think it is a totally recommendable book, I think the author is amazing. Now I am reading Inés del alma mía, and likewise, ¡¡¡¡ is an incredible work!!!!
