I would like to travel to Egypt!!!

 

I am Daniela, I am twenty-two years old, and for several years I have felt curiosity about different cultures, I’m not an expert in the matter, but I believe that is a very interesting, especially when there are powerful religious beliefs involved.

For this reason, I would like to travel to Egypt, I believe that “ancient Egypt civilization”, marks an important period in historical milestones, political, cultural, and religious for those times. This civilization takes place in 3000 A.C.


Around this civilization exist many curious facts. For example, when the river Nilo dyed of red blood during the reign of Ramses II, because the drought caused the appearance of a toxic algae that dyeds water blood red, just as the bible describes. For me, that coincidence it’s very interesting.

I think I would like to travel there to learn more about the ancient culture, go on a tour and have the opportunity to photograph from the smallest to the largest things, such as pyramids, temples, the sphinx, geographical landmarks, etc.

    Hi Daniela!

    This is definitely one of the spots I would like to visit too! Thinking about the idea that Egypt is related to huge discoveries that have occured in the place and a lot of misteries yet to known, from the mummies to the ancient artifacts they used. I think their perception of death, life and culture is simply fascinating!

  I’m a fourth-year student of , and the different interesting topics that are involved in the career give many options when thinking about the future. Because it has social and natural themes, which are constantly linked. But I have always felt inclined to coastal geography. I still have a lot to learn, because the subject is quite complex since it involves many variables. Changes to my study programme :)

  I think that geography is a career with a great diversity of subjects, that means a very varied curriculum. However, this year I have realized that, despite having many good and useful subjects, there is a lack of subjects that help us to practice, like providing solutions to problems and not only investigate them. Because throughout the career we always investigate, we make a diagnosis of everything that happens in the territory, but very rarely the projects reach a moment of providing solutions, so we lack practice in that. I also think that there are many programs that we could work throughout the career, so that they are not foreign or complex when we have to use them in the working world, or in the process of practice and title memory. Such as, for example, REDATAM, SPSS, QGIS, etc. These are programs used to work with large data matrices  according to what it is to be investigated or solved.
